The Delaware State Fire Marshal and Fire Prevention Commission has announced that the updated NFPA 70 with enforcement of the NEC 2023 has an effective date of January 1st, 2026. Some Maryland jurisdictions have also begun to move beyond the 2017 Code with various adoptions. With these items in mind, we begin looking ahead to the 2026 NEC with a range of class options to review what's coming next.
